Hosting
Our website is hosted by Hostinger. When you visit our website, information is automatically collected by the hosting provider and stored in server log files. This includes your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, hostname, and timestamp. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). We have a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) in place with our hosting provider.
Contact & Contact Form
We use a custom-built contact form for enquiries. The form collects: your name, email address, an optional phone number and area of interest, and your message. Transmission to our server is TLS-encrypted (SSL/TLS). Your enquiry is stored as a protected entry in our WordPress back-end (visible to us only) and used exclusively to process your enquiry; it is not shared with third parties. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
When an enquiry is received, we automatically send ourselves a notification email. This is sent via our hosting provider Hostinger’s SMTP server, connected through the WP Mail SMTP WordPress plugin. No data is shared with any further third parties as part of this process.
To protect against spam and abuse, each form submission also briefly processes a hashed representation of your IP address to limit the number of possible submissions; this is automatically deleted after one hour. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Cookies & Consent Management
Our website uses cookies. Necessary cookies are required for the website to function technically (e.g. to store your cookie preference) and cannot be switched off. Optional cookies — for example for analysing website usage — are only set with your consent. To obtain and manage your consent, we use a custom-built, lightweight consent management tool that appears on your first visit. You can adjust or withdraw your choice at any time via the “Cookie Settings” link in our website’s footer. The legal basis for setting optional cookies is your consent pursuant to § 25(1) TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Google Analytics
Our cookie consent tool already includes an “Analytics” category for a possible future web analytics tool such as Google Analytics 4, intended for technical implementation via the Site Kit by Google plugin. This category is currently prepared but not active: neither Google Analytics 4 nor Site Kit are currently in use on this website, no related cookies are set, and no data is transmitted to Google.
Should we activate Google Analytics in the future, this will happen exclusively on the basis of your consent pursuant to § 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, and only once you have agreed to the “Analytics” category in our cookie consent tool; any consent given can be withdrawn at any time via the “Cookie Settings” link. This privacy policy will be updated accordingly before any such activation. For the same reason, a connection to Google Search Console via Site Kit is likewise not currently set up.
Fonts
We host fonts locally on our own server. No connection is made to Google Fonts or any other external font provider, so no data is transmitted to third parties when fonts are loaded.
Third-Party Services
The following providers are included on our website solely as plain links — not as embedded widgets, plugins, or tracking pixels. This means: visiting our pages establishes no connection to these providers’ servers and no data is transferred. Only when you actively click a link do you leave our website, and from that point the respective provider’s own privacy policy applies.

The authority responsible for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany, phone: +49 30 13889-0, email: mailbox@datenschutz-berlin.de.
